Kids grow up so fast

My beloved minion Matthew (age 14) and I were at Cost Plus World Market (where I can afford to be different) a couple weeks ago. He picked up a package of candy called Haribo Roulette and showed it to me. I looked at it and said, “One of them is poison.”

He looks as me and says, loudly, “WHAT is WRONG with YOU? WHAT is GOING through YOUR BRAIN?! I was thinking that maybe you could put them in some sort of candy gun and shoot them into your mouth.”

Me: “No, that’s stupid.”

And then we laughed loud and annoyingly all the way out of the store.
