An American in Paris

Last week we went to see An American in Paris, which runs at the Hollywood Pantages through April 9th. I’d never actually seen the show or movie and was pleasantly surprised at all the songs I know and that they are all in one show. As always, I look at the list of musical numbers to know what the last song of Act I is so that I can be ready to run to the bathroom before the line gets crazy. For this show it happens to be “Second Rhapsody”/”Cuban Overture”.

In the foyer, during intermission, post bathroom use:

Cole: You were up like lightning!

Me: Yes, good thing I know what a rhapsody sounds like.

Cole: I don’t know what a rhapsody sounds like. Well, unless it’s particularly Bohemian in nature…

Me: That was… terrible.
