Dressed to the 9 3/4 2016

Sunday was Dressed to the 9 3/4 at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, both in Orlando and in Hollywood. Since this portion of the park just opened this year in the California park, this was the first one. It’s similar to Dapper Day at the Disney parks. The Dressed to the 9 3/4 in California is sponsored by the Los Angeles Dumbledore’s Army, a 21+ Harry Potter meet-up group and the second largest Harry Potter meet-up group in the world. Cole was representing Ravenclaw and I am, of course, a Slytherin. I actually bought this dress (link) from Pinup Girl Clothing specifically to wear as a Slytherin.

My New Bag!

My friends surprised me with a new bag from Jump From Paper and so when I got it, I immediately ran outside and took this picture:

It took about 15 shots to get one that looked the right kind of ridiculous, but I think it was totally worth it. My friend warned me that using this bag in public has the same effect as carrying around a small dog. People will want to touch it, look at it, don’t believe it’s real, etc. So, I was warned to not use it on days where I’m feeling particularly antisocial.

I’ve always wanted to be a cartoon and this bag makes me beyond happy. Since it’s trying to look 2D, it’s not huge on space so I don’t use it every day. Only on special occasions 🙂
